Academic & Religious Engagement

Gregory has been significantly influenced by Celtic Christianity, a tradition that aligns with his Irish-British ancestry, and academic study in Ireland.

Drawing from various strands of this region's Christian traditions, he has cultivated a blended spirituality incorporating elements of Catholicism, Anglicanism, and Quakerism while maintaining a solid connection to and membership with the Iona Community.

His blended Christian spirituality might best be called Ecumenical Catholicism. He is committed to a life of mercy and availability, deeply connected to the natural world, embraces a lifestyle of simplicity, and appreciates sacramental ritual and philosophical theology.
