Academic Writing
Gregory's academic writing background spans a diversity of subjects and disciplines.
His earlier writings focused on political economy and Christian social teaching. In particular, he worked on formulating an economic personalism in which free market principles were guided by a more adequate anthropology and moral insights.
More recently, he has been writing about the role of religion in a post-secular culture. He has also written on Catholic and Quaker theology.
His philosophical essays include works on human dignity, natural law ethics, human sexuality, the virtue of simplicity, and the practice of Christian minimalism. -
Creative Writing
While primarily a business and academic writer, Gregory has engaged with a few creative writing projects.
In the 1990s, he published several poems in the Kent State University Anthology of Poems and later in UCD’s Dublin Collection of Poetry. You can read some of his poetry here.
He is finishing his first novel, "It's All in the Game," an unconventional romance set at a Vermont university between a young professor and an Irish rugby player from another school. It is scheduled for release in late 2025.
